Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate demo is out!
Yesterday Wii U owners and 3DS owners got the chance to play a demo of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Its essentially Monster Hunter Tri that was released a few years ago on the Wii, but with updated graphics, improvements on overall game play, new monsters, areas, and weapons. I'm a huge fan of Monster Hunter, so I downloaded the demo on both my Wii U and 3DS. I'll start off first by saying that the updated graphics on the Wii U demo are gorgeous. The whole world and characters just look top notch. One of the first things you'll notice is how the gamepad is incorporated into the game. You control your inventory, gestures, texting on multiplayer, and various other things on it. You can also customize a few of the things on the gamepad as well. Over all game play has been updated as well, making the camera controls easier, and allowing a basic lock-on function. The demo contains two monsters to hunt, in levels that are in Tri, which allows you to compare just how much prettier this game looks. The hunts are pretty short, but what can you expect from a demo.
The 3DS version is pretty much the same. Obviously its not as pretty as the Wii U version, but still looks fantastic. Hopefully the demo will hold me over till MHU3 comes out March 19th.
See you out there fellow hunters!
